It’s official! Founder and Owner of the New York International Carpet Show (NYICS) Dennis Dodds has released the dates and location of next year’s show, and it does not disappoint. The facility is great, the location stellar, and if the the trend holds, I would predict 2013 to be another success! From the abbreviated press release dated 6 December 2012:
Dates for the 2013 New York International Carpet Show are set for Sunday-Tuesday, October 6-8.
The contract for this unique and popular trade event has been signed and a deposit has been made. Metropolitan Pavilion, a high-profile, sleek, visitor friendly destination, promises to offer the most attractive and diverse trade display of high-end, design driven carpets ever organized in New York City.
Founder and Owner of the show, Dennis Dodds, and several leading importers agreed that these new dates avoid many conflicting events and holidays in September. He adds: “NYICS’ solid record for producing the top show of artisan carpetmakers for the important Fall season continues. Buyers will discover even more creative launches and fresh introductions that are sure to be hits in the marketplace.”
A number of leading importers have already confirmed their participation and new companies with exciting products will also make their debut at NYICS 9. Visit www.NYICS.com for more information.
Note: The Ruggist has been in close contact with one of the aforementioned “new companies with exciting products” (and no, it is not Red Spruce) and I must say, from what I’ve seen buyers will not be disappointed.
